Marie Alma Biddlecome, 83 years, of Van Wert, Ohio and formerly of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away, Friday, April 2, 2021 at Van Wert Medical Center, Van Wert, Ohio. Marie was born August 25, 1937, in Cohoes, New York, the daughter of the late George and Eveline (Gagnon) Boissonneault. She was a 1956 graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy. She went on to receive her Nursing degree from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Marie married Jack A. Biddlecome on March 17, 1970, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2015. Marie was a Registered Nurse, working at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for 22 years. She also worked as a nurse at the Hospice Home Health in Montpelier, Ohio. Marie enjoyed antiquing, reading and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her four daughters, Deborah (Tim) Smith of Moorhead, Minnesota, Susan (John) Osenbaugh of Van Wert, Ohio, Michelle Briscane of Margate, Florida and Renee Scholhl of Lake Mary, Florida; three sons, Richard (Christy) Biddlecome of Coker, Alabama, Michael (Rhonda) Biddlecome of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Mark Van Patten of Portland, Oregon; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Biddlecome; one brother, George Boissonneault; three sisters, Clair Pailley, Elaine Van Patten and Cecile Neal.
Visitation for Marie Alma Biddlecome will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon in the Oberlin Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville where her funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Father Dan Borgelt officiating. Private interment will be made in Mennonite Cemetery, Woodburn, Indiana.
The family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy to consider memorial contributions be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, Hicksville, Ohio.
