Forrest Duane Brown, 87, of Camden, MI, passed away on July 25, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 17, 1934 to Forest J. and Ida (Miller) Brown in Jackson County, MI. On March 10, 1956 he married Gertrude K. Echler in Angola, IN and she preceded him in passing on January 13, 2019.
Forrest worked for Ohio Gas Company as a service technician for over 37 years. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Montpelier. Forrest enjoyed camping at the river, where he partook in his favorite hobby, fishing.
Forrest is survived by his four children, Dan Brown of Montgomery, MI, Sheila (Dave) Coon and Scott (Laura) Brown all of Montpelier, and John (Dawn) Brown on Camden; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Rex Brown of Webster, FL; and sister, Wilma Michael of Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertrude Brown; son, Clyde Brown; and ten siblings, Boyd, Clyde, Don, Walter, Ed, Dick, and Ralph Brown and Elva Guernsey, Clara Kunesh and Shirley Knapp.
Visitation for Forrest will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 10am-12pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer. A funeral service will take place immediately following at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Elder Tim Hendricks to officiate. Interment to follow at Nettle Lake Cemetery in Montpelier.
