Brenda J. Thuering, age 66, of rural Edon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio. Brenda proudly served in the U.S. Army and later the Army Reserve. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting and flower gardening.
Brenda was born on November 10, 1955, in Norwich, New York, the daughter of Clifford R. and Jean (Lambert) Oliver. Her mother died shortly after her birth and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Doris (Rogers) Oliver. She married Tim Thuering on October 14, 1976, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and he survives.
Brenda is also survived by her daughter, Christina (Jason) Brandt, of Milwaukee; sons, Tim (Samantha) Thuering, Jr., of Leesburg, Ohio, Glen Thuering and Michael (Nickole) Thuering, both of Edon; eleven grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Dominic, Gabriella, Timmy, Tony, Haeley, Tyler, Jakob, Connor and Khloe; a great-granddaughter, Aliyah; six brothers; six sisters; stepmother, Doris (Paul) Townsend, of Norwich, New York; and mother-in-law, Janet Thuering, of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Randy Oliver; and father-in-law, Glen Thuering.
Visitation for Brenda will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio.
