Sandra L. Zuvers, 58 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in her home. Sandy was born May 9, 1955 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of LaMar and Ruby (Cole) Rupp. She was a 1974 graduate of Bryan High School. Sandy married her high school sweetheart, Steve L. Zuvers on January 9, 1977 in Bryan. She worked at Allied Moulded Products, Bryan Canning Company and at the former Trim Trends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan. While in her youth, Sandy was a candy striper volunteer at Bryan Hospital. Sandy enjoyed plants of all varieties. She enjoyed gardening, watching television quiz shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Going on vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and visiting different gardens brought her great joy.
Surviving is her husband of 36 years, Steve; two children, Lydia Zuvers and David Zuvers, both of Bryan; her mother, Ruby Rupp of Bryan; two sisters, Terri (Curt) Harter of Florida and Patricia (Jim) Cochran of West Unity; two brothers, Randal Rupp of Germany and Mike Rupp of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her father, LaMar Rupp.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 2:000 – 5:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Burial will remain private for the family.
