Robert “Rob” A. Guyse, 60, of Montpelier passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. He was born on July 9, 1962 in Montpelier to Gary and Linda (Edwards) Guyse. Rob graduated from Montpelier High School. On September 2, 2007 he married Priscilla Rodriguez and she survives.
Rob was a member of the Montpelier Eagles, where he formerly served as President and the Montpelier Moose. He was a machinist at Mohawk Tools in Montpelier and Ferguson Tool in Edgerton. He enjoyed listening to music, watching The Price is Right and the Minnesota Vikings on ESPN. Rob loved spending time with his wife and family, and hanging out at friends houses in the summer.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla; mother Linda (Leland) Esterline of Bryan; children Tara (Vince) Hargis of Montpelier, Risa (Tim) Decker of Montpelier, Russ Snow of Evansville, Indiana and Rene Snow of Montpelier; seven grandchildren Kaylea, Jerid, Kaycee, Kamden, Janessa, Kaiden and Kellen; sister Tanya (Dave) Mack of San Antonio, Texas; nephews Dustin Mack and Dylan Mack of San Antonio; numerous aunts, uncles, other family and close friends.
Rob was preceded in death by his father Gary Guyse, Grandma Edwards and Grandpa Boots.
Visitation for Rob will be on Tuesday, December 6th from 12-5pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will follow at 5pm at the funeral home with Pastor Benaiah Harris to officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to the Montpelier Athletic Boosters.
