Bryan Board of Public Affairs – New Pact

New Pact

The Bryan Board of Public Affairs unanimously agrees to a contract with electrical line workers that runs through Oct. 31 of 2025. The agreement is between Bryan Municipal Utilities and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Line Workers No. 245. The Bryan Human Resources Director reports there were six main changes to the new agreement from the previous one, including a 5% raise increase this year retroactive to April 1. Future salary increases will be 3% each of the next two years. There was also a change in overtime/on call status/call-out pay. Instead of being compensated for weekly on call with 16 hours of compensation at the employee’s regular rate of pay, it has been changed to a flat rate based on the employee’s job classification.
