Daniel T. McKean, 36

Daniel T. McKean, 36 years of Angola, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, as the result of an automobile accident near Hamilton.  Daniel was born October 3, 1987, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Amy L (Bowers) and Christopher McKean.  Daniel attended Hamilton Community Schools.  He was employed by Clark’s Landing Marina for the past several years.  Daniel was a jack of all trades.  He loved to be outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, boating or cutting wood.  He also enjoyed cooking and was known to have a terrific singing voice.  Daniel was an adventurer, always leading the pack, which sometimes led to mischief…

Surviving are  his four children, Neveah, Cadence, Leon and Hunter;  his mother and stepfather, Amy (Brian) Washler of Butler, Indiana; Father, Christopher (Sue Voirol) McKean of Spencerville, Indiana; Stepfather, Brian (Karen) Dutkiewicz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; seven siblings, Brenden (Brittany) Dutkiewicz, Scott (Jami) McKean, Melinda (Misty) McKean, Samantha (Travis Herman) Dutkiewicz, Rachel (Brian) Auman, Katherine Voirol and Tiffany Voirol; Grandmothers, Evelyn Greenfield and Lorraine Manera; grandfather, Wayne McKean.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leon and Kathryn Bowers and Thomas Dutkiewicz.

A Celebration of Life for Daniel T. McKean will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton with Rodney Snyder officiating.  A time of gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
