Archie N. Jackson, 82, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Archie was born July 7, 1941, in Huntington, Indiana, son of the late Arnold and Helen (Griffith) Jackson.  He attended Central High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and left early to enlist in the U.S. Army.  Archie married Phyllis (Shepherd) Phillips on July 3, 2002, in Hicksville, and she survives.  He worked as a tow motor and truck driver for Dietrich Industries for over 20 years, and then went to work for Crook Miller Handle Factory after Dietrich closed.  Archie was a member of Local Lodge 2484, and the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Hicksville; two children, Amy (Nick) Allgire and Matthew Jackson, both of of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four step-children, Sarah (Jason) Patrick of Hicksville, Angi (Brad) Peffley of Antwerp, Ohio, Travis Phillips of Hicksville, and Britt (Quinlan) Mendez of Farmer, Ohio; one step-daughter-in-law, Jimmie Phillips of Edon, Ohio; one grandson, Timothy Parker of Woodburn, Indiana; 15 step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Adrijana of Fort Wayne; and one step-great-granddaughter.

To honor Archie’s wishes, no public visitation or services will be held at this time.  The family will host a private gathering at a later date.   Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
