Shirley Ann Lowe, 81, of Hicksville, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Shirley was born December 12, 1942, in Taft, California, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Bukey) Probst.  Shirley married Glenn S. Lowe on December 12, 1989, in Hicksville, and he survives. Shirley worked as a Home Health Aide for Community Health Professionals. Prior to this, she worked as a waitress in several restaurants.  She also worked in the Deli Department at Kroger’s.  Shirley and Glenn owned Lowe’s Family Restaurant in Hicksville for nearly two years.  Shirley found joy in coloring adult color books, painting by number pictures, watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart and Dale Earnhart, Jr., and working in her yard. She enjoyed being outdoors. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling across the United States.

Surviving is her husband, Glenn of Hicksville; three children, Michelle (Bob) Ferguson of Hicksville, Yvonne (Andy) James of Ada, Ohio, and Yvette (Andy) Graham of Hillard, Ohio; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Fred (Debbie) Probst of Mocksville, NC, Harry (Sarah) Probst of Arizona, and Bobby (Catherine) Levandoski of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one sister, Rita Richardson of Phoenix, Arizona  She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, David Probst, Michael Levandowski and Kenny Oyler.

To honor Shirley’s request, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio.

Memorial contributions can be directly to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
