Roxanne L Kackley, 69

Roxanne Louise (Keezer) Kackley, 69 years, recently of Stanwood, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Friday evening June 14th after a brief illness, at Corewell Health Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Roxanne was born July 31, 1954, in Defiance, Ohio, daughter of Milford (Jack) Keezer and Norma Lauree Hasch (Keezer) Sprow, both of whom preceded her in death.

Roxanne was a 1972 graduate of Fairview High School, Sherwood, Ohio. She met Richard L. Kackley in Columbus, Ohio and they married on May 16, 1987. Roxanne worked in retail management and sales, ending her career at Amish Oak Furniture in Lancaster, Ohio, where she pursued her talent for home decor until her retirement in 2017. She was also involved in foster care alongside her husband for five years.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Ronald O. Hasch and Jerry L. Saylor. Surviving are her husband Richard L. Kackley and two sons: Rex L. Kackley and Evan M. Kackley also of Stanwood, Michigan, two sisters, Tylene M. (Keezer) Underwood, Elmore, Ohio and Rhonda S. Keezer, Williamson, West Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Aside from Roxanne’s unwavering faith in God, her family was the center of her life.  She was fond of plants, sewing and her pets, as well as genealogy and family history, particularly paternal ancestral history dating to Colonial New England circa 1632. She had a passion for all things Christmas and antiques and had a large collection of Christmas treasures that filled her home every December.  She had a remarkable gift for making people laugh.  Roxanne’s legacy of love and laughter will live on through the lives of those who loved her and those cherished memories will never be forgotten.
