Motorcycle accident Thursday night in Paulding County.

The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious
injury crash that occurred on CR179 south of TR10 in Paulding County, Auglaize
Township, at approximately 9:48 P.M. on July 11, 2024.
Scott Kirkland Jr, age 26, of Paulding, Ohio was traveling northbound on CR179 in a 1984
Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. His passenger, Allen Kline, age 34, of Paulding, Ohio was
seated in the rear. Mr. Kirkland went off the right side of the roadway when the
motorcycle overturned.
Allen Kline was life flighted to Parkview Regional Hospital, in Fort Wayne, with critical injuries. Scott Kirkland was treated on the scene with minor injuries.
Both occupants were not wearing helmets, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the
crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorist to never drive impaired.
