Bryan man killed after fleeing from Paulding Co. Sheriff’s Deputies.

The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single
vehicle, fatal traffic crash that occurred on South Main Street, near the intersection of
Plum Street, in the Village of Cecil, early Friday morning.
At approximately 0259 Hrs. a Vehicle driven by Michael Dean Geiger, Age 58,
of Bryan Ohio was traveling northbound on S. Main Street. Geiger was actively fleeing from Paulding County Sheriff’s deputies when he traveled off the left side of the roadway.  Geiger overcorrected which caused his vehicle to overturn. Geiger was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle.
Michael Dean Geiger sustained fatal injuries as a result of the traffic crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Paulding County Coroner’s Office.

The traffic crash remains under investigation.
