River Ice Watched

Emergency Management Agency officials are watching ice jams on area rivers that they say could endanger people living along the riverbanks.

Officials report a mile-long ice jam just west of Grand Rapids in Henry County.

They say it has already caused minor flooding along the river banks in parts of Defiance, Henry and Wood County. The recent warm weather has melted some of the ice and that is a cause for concern.
