Citizens of Toledo lined up for gun buyback program Saturday.

On Saturday, citizens of Toledo lined up for a gun buyback program, filling the parking lot of Monroe Street United Methodist Church.  Residents who turned in unwanted firearms were given gift cards at the event, which took place during Gun Violence Awareness Month. According to the organizers, the intention was to give those who no longer wanted to have firearms in their homes a safe alternative.   Many folks had been waiting for a chance like this, according to Jessica Rienstra, congregation liaison with Disarmory Ministries in Detroit.
