Frank Taylor, 83

Frank D. Taylor, 83, of Pioneer, and formerly of West Unity and Hudson, Michigan, passed away early Tuesday morning at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier.  He was born on September 24, 1930 in Rollin, Michigan to Kenneth Gaylord and Golda (Stahl) Taylor.  Frank served his country in the United States Army, for nine years during the Korean War.

Frank was a self-employed construction worker and cement finisher.  He also helped farm in Lenawee County, Michigan.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Taylor of West Unity and Terry Taylor of Montpelier; four daughters, Bonnie (Chet) Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Goldie (Greg) Hines of Pioneer, Tammy Lorntz of Bryan and Debbie Bailey of Montpelier; fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two sisters Lynne Anne Bouvier of Reading, Michigan and Betty Taylor of West Unity; and former wife Marian Taylor of West Unity.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one son Gary Taylor in October 2010, and one sister Bonnie Goodlock.

Visitation hours for Frank will be on Thursday May 1st from 11am-3pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Thursday at 3pm at the funeral home with Reverend Joseph Redmond to officiate.  Military honors will be performed by the Montpelier Veterans.  Donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
