Eva A. Michael, 82 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home, with her family at her side. She was under the care of Community Health Professionals Hospice. Eva was born February 20, 1932 in Fulton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ensign P. and Mildred M. (Schoonover) Ledyard. Eva was a 1950 graduate of Bryan High School. She married Robert L. Michael on August 4, 1951 in Bryan, Ohio and he survives. Eva was a secretary for the ARO Corp. for 42 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene as well as the Arabian Horse Association. Eva thoroughly enjoyed working with horses and was an avid golfer.
Surviving is her husband, Robert L. Michael of Bryan; one son, Steven (Karen) Michael of Frederick, Maryland; three grandchildren, Brett Michael of Bryan, Seth (Hannah) Michael United State Air Force, Abilene, Texas and Jaclyn Michael of Frederick, Maryland; three brothers, Arnold (Dorothy) Ledyard of Bryan, Moyne (LouAhna) Ledyard of Bryan and Hal (Sharon) Ledyard of Bryan; sisters-in-law, Pat Ledyard of Ossian, Indiana and Beverly Ledyard of Jonesville, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Michael; two brothers, Voyle Ledyard and Norman Ledyard and one sister, Iva Ledyard.
Visitation for Eva A. Michael will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Eva A. Michael will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Bryan Church of the Nazarene, 312 Townline Road, Bryan, with Pastor Roger Blough officiating. Graveside committal services will follow in Mohr Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Visitation will also be held one hour to the service on Monday at the church.
