Vintage Baseball To Be Played At Sauder

You’re in for an afternoon of old-time baseball on Saturday, July 26 as the Great Black Swamp Frogs, the Spiegel Grove Squires and the Elkhart County Railroaders gather for a Vintage Base Ball Tournament at Sauder Village. IT’s three baseball games being played using rules from the 1860s.

This is the fourth year for a Vintage Base Ball Tournament to be held at Sauder Village.

Both teams, dressed in vintage uniforms, will play by 1860s rules. The team with either the best record or the most runs scored overall will win the tournament and the winning team will receive a hand-made traveling trophy made at Sauder Village. Between the games, children will have a chance to run the bases.
