Three operators of a former area grain elevator were indicted by a Fulton County Grand Jury yesterday.
According to a release by The Fulton County Prosecutor’s Office, 55 year old William Fricke of Wauseon, 60 year old Steven Brink of Archbold and 36 year old Todd Gerig of West Unity, were all indicted on charges related to a shortfall of corn discovered by Ohio Department of Agriculture officials.
Charges against all three included one count of grand theft each, tampering with evidence, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
The three are also accused of being licensed handlers who purchased an agricultural commodity under a delayed price agreement and failed to maintain the commodity.
