Lowell Mock, 83

Lowell E. Mock, 83 years, of Bryan, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice, Defiance.  Lowell was born February 1, 1931 in Butler, Indiana, the son of the late Hershel and Dora (Radabaugh) Mock.  Lowell was a 1950 graduate of Bryan High School.  Lowell was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  Lowell married Mabel Irene Beattie on July 17, 1975 in Bryan, and she preceded her in death on December 30, 2005.  He was employed by Chase Brass for 35 years, retiring in 2004.  He had also worked at ARO Corp and for Fuller Brush.  He was a member of the Bryan American Legion Post 284.

Surviving are his four daughters, Jody Sanders of Bryan, Shellee (Ron) Brown of Bryan, Clara Potter of Montpelier and Josey (Ray) Koch of Bryan; five sons, Jeff (Deb) Mock of Bryan, Jerry Mock of Florence, Kentucky, Jim (Diana) Potter of Montpelier, Bob Potter of Yorktown, Indiana and Victor ( Karen) Potter of Bryan; 24 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis (Shirley) Mock of Stryker and one sister, Phyllis Shannon of Versailles, Kentucky.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mabel, one son, Kim Mock, two sisters, Virginia Mock and Martha Long.

Visitation for Lowell E. Mock will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Bryan American Legion Post 284.
