Wright Will Not Run

Bryan City Coun­cil mem­ber Dick Wright announced at last week’s coun­cil meet­ing, that he does not plan to seek reelec­tion.

Wright, who was first appointed to coun­cil in May 2000, said he made the announce­ment now, so any­one who may be inter­ested in run­ning for his seat can start doing it now. Wright rep­re­sents the city’s Ward 4, which includes the south cen­tral and south­east por­tions of Bryan. Wright is an invest­ment bro­ker in Bryan, where he and his fam­ily have lived since 1986.
