Harold F. Dunn, 93, of Fremont, Indiana and formerly of Waldron, Michigan passed away Saturday at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana. He was born on March 17, 1922 in Dexter, Michigan to Howard and Adeline (Brandt) Dunn. Harold graduated from Dexter High School in Dexter, Michigan. On December 30, 1977 he married Phyllis J. (Bohler) Weirich and she survives.
Harold was a lifelong catholic, he currently attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola. He was an International Harvester Implement Dealer for 46 years in Waldron. He was also a fireman for 26 years and was a past Village President in Waldron. Harold served on the Hillsdale Industrial board for several years. He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; two step-sons, David (Pam) Weirich of Moberly, Missouri and Michael (Mary) Weirich of Montpelier; two sisters, Camella Dixon of Whitmore Lake, Michigan and Arlene (Wayne) DeForest of Ann Arbor, Michigan; one brother Richard (Dorothy) Dunn of Pittsford, Michigan; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerome and Gerald Dunn and a step-daughter Sandra Emens.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 1pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier with Father Jim Halleron to officiate. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society of Angola.
