D. Glenna Robison, 88, of Bryan passed away Sunday evening with her family by her side in Bryan. She was born on July 29, 1926 in Hillsdale County Michigan to Owen and Sarah Alta (Hamilton) Bidlack. She graduated from Reading Michigan High School in 1944. On November 26, 1944 she married Marlin D. Robison and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2006.
Glenna was a homemaker and a retail clerk at Gorny Winzeler’s in Montpelier for several years. She attended Nettle Lake United Brethren Church for many years and was on the Ladies Aid. Glenna also at one time was very active at Lick Creek Church of the Brethren in Bryan, having made many pies for their social events and dinners. More recently she attended New Hope Community Church in Bryan, where she was active in the PrimeTimes. She was a very caring and giving person of her time and talents to her family, neighbors and friends.
She is survived by one son Gerald (Brenda) Robison of Palmetto, Florida; two daughters, Marcia (Greg) Ledyard of Coldwater, Michigan and Marcella (Rex) Ruble of Montpelier; one sister Dolores “Dee” Wells of Snellville, Georgia; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; and special friend Blaine Nicholls of Bryan.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marlin, brothers, Howard and Victor Bidlack, and sister Vera Betts.
Visitation for Glenna will be on Thursday, April 16th from 4-9pm at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home, 335 Empire Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Friday at 11am at New Hope Community Church in Bryan with Pastor Dave Nicholls to officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer. Donations may be made to Nettle Lake United Brethren Church, Lick Creek Church of the Brethren or to PrimeTimers at New Hope Community Church.
