Cedar Point Is Opening

Cedar Point opens for the sea­son this Sat­ur­day with a new roller coaster, the park’s first floor­less roller coaster, uti­liz­ing the track of the for­mer Man­tis roller coaster, tow­er­ing 14 sto­ries above the mid­way. The new coaster will flip rid­ers upside down at up to 60 miles per hour, while their feet are left dan­gling. Also new this year at Cedar Point, Hotel Break­ers fea­tur­ing improve­ments such as a new exte­rior, newly refur­nished rooms, a Star­bucks, Surf Lounge, and other new offer­ings. Stay at one of Cedar Point’s resorts, and get dis­counted tick­ets and early entry to the park.

Other changes are the addi­tion of the Sweet Spot candy shop, Quaker Steak & Lube restau­rant, the Lake­side Pavil­ion for large groups. Vis­i­tors also will find some clas­sic rides have been moved to dif­fer­ent loca­tions, as well as sev­eral new shows and per­for­mances through­out dif­fer­ent venues in the park. Cedar Point opens this weekend.
