Mary Deisler, 84

Mary C. Deisler, age 84, of Bryan, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord at 6:45 P.M. on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Genesis HealthCare – Bryan Center in Bryan, Ohio, where she had been a resident. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Sherwood-Delaware High School and Vantage Vocational School. She worked as a sales clerk at G.C. Murphy, was an assembler at Syncro, she and her husband ran the Paulding County Eaton Children’s Home, she was a nurse’s aide at the Dallas Lamb Foundation and an office worker at several firms. Mary was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cecil and was a current member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Shamrock Circle and Bible Study group.

Mary was born on October 15, 1930, Near Junction, Ohio in Paulding County, Ohio, the daughter of John N. and Anna M. (Klima) Meyer. She married Paul A. Deisler on November 24, 1949, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Delaware Bend, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1978.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Catherine (Robert) Cottrell, of Antwerp, Ohio, Georgia (Robert) Cecil, of Amherst, Ohio, Connie Sue (LeRoy) Sheets, of Defiance and Paula (Stephen) Mallett, of Defiance; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and sisters, Helen (Louis) Simonis, of Defiance, Grace (Donald) Wilhelm, of Defiance and Elizabeth Ankney, of Paulding. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Bill Deisler; granddaughters, Melissa Cottrell and Misty Lee (Sheets) Boykin; great granddaughter, Jasmin Cecil; sisters, Regina Ruth Miller and Leona Baker and brothers, Bernard, Charles and Raymond Meyer.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, from 2:00-7:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A Rosary service will be held at 7:30 P.M., following visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father James Halleron officiating. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Cecil, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
