Saturday Crash Leaves Man Dead, Woman With Critical Injuries

A crash Saturday afternoon leaves one man dead and a woman in critical condition. The Ohio Highway Patrol says 32 year old Amy Bibler of Findlay, was westbound on U.S. 6 at about 5:40 p.m on Saturday, with a passenger, 35 year old Richard Eagleson III of Deshler, when her vehicle veered off the highway near the intersection with County Road 13, went airborne and then overturned into the creek. According to the Bryan Times, Trooper Pat Tusko, a Bryan native who is stationed at the Defiance Post, stripped down and jumped into the water, and pulled both people from the car after breaking a window to get to them. Both victims and Trooper Tusko were taken to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan; Bibler and Eagleson were then flown to Toledo Hospital. Eagleson died en route. Bibler remained listed in critical condition in Toledo as of late yesterday. Trooper Tusko was treated for hypothermia and released.
