In Pioneer, a routine traffic stop, more like a courtesy actually, lead to the arrest of a woman who was on the run for more than ten years. It was just after 6 yesterday morning, when officers pulled over a vehicle for a broken headlight. As is the case in every traffic stop, the officer ran the license plate number. It came back with a surprise hit. The owner of the vehicle had been the subject of an arrest warrant going back about a decade from Bryan. Pioneer Police called to see if they still wanted to extradite the person, and they said “yes they did.” So… 46 year old Kathleen Pfeiffer was arrested on a Bryan Municipal Court warrant charging her with passing a bad check way back in 2005. Because she had taken off before she was prosecuted back then, a contempt of court charge was added, and Pfeiffer was hauled off by Williams County Sheriff’s Deputies to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
