Explosion in Ashley kills one

The Indi­ana State Fire Marshal’s Office says an explo­sion that took place at a home on the south side of Ash­ley on Mon­day night that killed one per­son and injured two oth­ers was caused by an LP gas leak with an out­side igni­tion source.

Ash­ley Police said on their Face­book page that the blast took place at around 9:45pm inside of a home in the 1200 block of South Gonser Avenue.

The two injured per­sons were flown out by Samar­i­tan heli­copter to area hos­pi­tals. Names are not being released at this time.
