Lee Bryce, 86

Arleta “Lee” S. Bryce, 86, of Bryan Ohio died Friday evening at Hillside Country Living in rural Bryan.  She was born on October 22, 1926 in Hamler, Ohio to Herman and Emma (Cohrs) Kolbe.  Lee graduated from Napoleon High School in 1945.  In 1971 Lee married John “Jack” A. Bryce, and he survives.

Lee is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan.  She assisted her husband in managing the Leader Enterprise and the County Line newspapers.  Lee loved spending time with her family; she especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.  She also loved visiting her daughter and family in Traverse City.

Lee is survived by her husband Jack; three daughters, Pamela (Michial) Rader of Traverse City, Michigan, Vicki (Jon) Hake of Edon, Ohio and Toni (Kevin) McCourt of Montpelier, Ohio; two step sons, Geoffrey (Sharon) Bryce of LaGrange Park, Illinois and Joel (Nanci) Bryce of Bryan; one sister, Lois Sawicki of Toledo, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eldor and Charles Kolbe; two sisters, Verna Hauser and Laura Bonner.

Lee’s family will receive friends on Tuesday May 28th from 5-8pm at the Wilson Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier, Ohio.  Services will be Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Mary Beth Smith-Gunn to officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations may be made to Williams County Public Library, Bryan.
