Anaa Lorene Stryker, 90

Anna Lorene “Dolly” Stryker, age 90, of Edgerton, Ohio, died late afternoon on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, after a brief illness. Mrs. Stryker was a 1941 graduate of Edon High School and had been employed in the telephone office in Edgerton and Spangler Candy Company in Bryan, Ohio, for a short time and then was a longtime employee of Syncrotech in Edgerton until the plant closed. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and the Rosary Altar Society and was a life member of the John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary.

Anna Lorene “Dolly” Stryker was born on October 24, 1924, in Blakeslee, Ohio, the daughter of Oscar and Julia (Ries) Herman. She married Donald B. (Bill) Stryker, on June 25, 1949, in Blakeslee and he preceded her in death on November 9, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Zumbaugh and Carol Stryker, both of Edgerton, one grandson, Jason (Laura) Zumbaugh, of Edgerton, a great-grandson, Seth Jeffrey Zumbaugh, a step-granddaughter, Megan Squire, of Butler, Indiana, and one sister, LaRue Alexander, of Edon, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Stryker, a son-in-law, Elwyn Zumbaugh, and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Stryker.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 3:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Edgerton. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30 P.M. on Thursday in the funeral home.

Memorials are requested to St. Mary School.
