“Andy’s Law” bill stops in Ohio Senate.

The Ohio House overwhelmingly approved House Bill 338 in November 2025. It has been dubbed “Andy’s Law,” in honor of Andrew Lansing, a former jail officer for Ross County.  Court documents state that on Christmas Day in 2024, a convict killed Lansing while he was at work.  Former prison employee Darren Price is currently the leader of the Andy’s Law Coalition.   After just one hearing by a justice committee, the bill has stopped in the state Senate.
