An Angola man was sentenced Monday in Steuben Court to three years of a six year sentence after pleading guilty to a Class B felony of Criminal Deviant Conduct.
The plea bargain agreement with prosecutors was reached with 27-year-old Kile Stockert, who was also placed on probation for two years. Stockert was given credit for 189 days already served in jail. Three years of the sentenced was suspended and Community Corrections was authorized by the court.
In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors dismissed a Class B felony of rape along with two other Class B felonies of Criminal Deviant Conduct, two Class D felonies for Criminal Confinement and another Class D felony for Strangulation.
The charges against Stockert came about following alleged incidents last December after Stockert and a 26-year-old woman got into an argument while they were in a vehicle.
