Area Civil War soldier to be honored

A local vet­eran is being remem­bered for his ser­vice to the Union Army. Defi­ance native Albert Wil­helm King will be hon­ored with a makrer at Rive­side Cemetary in Defi­ance dur­ing a cer­e­mony Sun­day after­noon. At the cer­e­mony, a Civil War head­stone will be placed next to Kings final rest­ing place in the old sec­tion of the cemetary. The cer­e­mony starts at 2 pm
