Arnold P. Ledyard, 90

Arnold P. Ledyard, 90 years, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Arnold was born March 16, 1928, in Morenci, Michigan, and the son of the late Ensign and Mildred (Schoonover) Ledyard. He was a 1946 graduate of Wauseon High School. He married Dorothy K. Gross on July 23, 1949 in Bryan and she survives. Arnold was a dairy farmer for many years in Williams County. He served as a Herdsman for the Rockey Brothers Farms in Edon as well as working for the Bryan Elevator and the Williams County Highway Department. Arnold was a charter member of the Morenci Church of the Nazarene and was an active member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene, where he served as a Sunday School teacher until he was 90 years old. For many years, he also served as a member of the Church Board and Sunday School while helping lead the Bus Ministry. Arnold was honored with two distinguished service awards for his dedicated service to the Bryan Church of the Nazarene. Arnold enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren and refurbishing old tractors and driving them in parades.

Surviving is his wife, Dorothy of Bryan; three children, Paul (Patricia) Ledyard of Montpelier, Greg (Marcia) Ledyard of Coldwater, Michigan, and Vivian White of Kearny, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Adam (Thea) Ledyard, Andrew Ledyard, Michon (Joe) Dersien, Evan (Stephanie) Ledyard, Meg (Tim) Weston, Genevieve White, Christopher (Nicole) White; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hal (Sharon) Ledyard of Bryan and Moyne (Luhana) Ledyard of Bryan; two sisters-in-law, Pat Ledyard of Ossian, Indiana, and Bev Ledyard of Hillsdale, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Cody; two brothers, Voyle and Norman Ledyard; two sisters, Iva Ledyard and Eva Michael and one brother-in-law, Robert Michael.

There will be no visitation and memorial services for Arnold will be held at a later date. Interment will be made in Morenci Cemetery, Morenci, Michigan. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
