Fulton County Judge, Jeffrey Robinson accepts the jury’s recommendation and sentences James Worley to death for murdering Sierah Joughin. Prior to the sentencing Worley, of rural Delta, addressed the court. He declared his innocence. Worley’s execution date is set for June 2019.

A hearing yields no decision as to whether evidence will be suppressed in the case of Nicholas Evanoff, a former Napoleon police officer accused of possessing child pornography. A response to the motion is due by May 7, and a plea deadline has been set for Evanoff for May 31
