Auto Auction Bring$ In Buck$

We told you recently about the big auto auction planned for Auburn earlier this month. Well, now the results are in, and they are quite impressive.

Auctions America offered more than 770 vehicles, and more than 87 percent of them were sold at the auction, for a total of $19.1 Million.

Auctions America says that’s a 70 percent increase over 2013 figures, and the company’s fall auction which is planned for later this year and also will be held in Auburn, is traditionally even larger.

More than half the cars sold came from the 400-plus car John Scotti Collection, offered to bidders at no reserve.

Several of the top-dollar lots were from the collection, including the $213,400 Chrysler Custom Imperial Airflow and $104,500 for a 1991 Lamborghini Diablo.
