Barbara S. “Sue” Bany, age 74, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:15 A.M. on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Bany was a 1960 graduate of Hilltop High School and was a long time member of Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233.
Barbara S. “Sue” Bany was born on July 18, 1942, in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Joseph Francis and Vera Frances (Volway) Tobin. She married Charles L. “Butch” Bany, who preceded her in death in 2013.
Survivors include one daughter, Julie (Dan) Thorpe, of Bryan; four sons, David Patterson, Trent Patterson and Kelly (Ashley) Bany, all of Bryan, and Troy Patterson, of Seminary, Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joann Whetro, of West Unity, Ohio. She was also preceded in death her parents, six sisters and one granddaughter.
Services for Barbara S. “Sue” Bany have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
