Beatrice “Bea” A. Price, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Tuesday evening at Parkview Hospice Randallia. She was born on October 8, 1942 in Camden, Michigan to Lester E. and Wanette Beatrice (Hotchkiss-Puckett) Schelling. Bea graduated from Montpelier High School in 1960.
Bea was a member of House of Prayer. She retired from Meijer in Angola, where she worked in the deli for 5 years. Prior to that she worked at Plastec Corp in Edon as a machine operator for 9 years and Northwest Moulding in Edon for a number of years. Bea was a very crafty person, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, playing Bingo, sewing, painting ceramics and Artex painting.
She is survived by her children Daniel L. Stuckey of Montpelier, Deann (Eric) Dohner of Butler, Indiana and Denise (Matt) Pollard of Sherwood, Ohio; step children Brenda Borton, James Price and Ted Price; grandchildren Tiffany Stuckey, Jeremy Stuckey, Christopher (Tifani) Thompson, Zachary (Haley) Dohner, Octavia Maugherman, Elysia Bohner, Jacob Pollard, Brooke Pollard and Brittany Pollard; step grandchildren Judd Price, Tonya Price, Sharlynn (Chuck) Myers and Easton (Kara) Price; thirteen great grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings Barbara Meinert of Roanoke, Indiana and Ronald (Darlene) Puckett of Etna Green, Indiana.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Richard G. Stuckey, infant son Dennis Stuckey, second husband Joe Allen Tom Price, grandson Joshua L. Stuckey and brother Kenneth Puckett.
Visitation for Bea will be on Friday, December 4th from 2-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Benaiah Harris to officiate. Bea will be laid to rest at Johnson’s Cemetery near Burlington, Ohio. Due to the ongoing pandemic and per the governor’s order, we ask that you adhere to the social distancing guidelines and that you bring a mask, as wearing one will be required. Memorial contributions may be given to the House of Prayer.
