BENEFIT PLANNED IN DEFIANCE

A motor­cy­cle poker run, hog roast and per­for­mances by six bands and musi­cians will be held on Sat­ur­day at the UAW hall in Defi­ance. Pro­ceeds from the event will ben­e­fit local musi­cian and record­ing artist, Tim Vargo of Defi­ance, and his fam­ily with med­ical bills while they are wait­ing for a liver trans­plant for Vargo. He has hepati­tis C from a blood dona­tion he received as a child and now has cir­rho­sis of the liver.
