Betty Ann Champion, 61

Betty Ann Champion, age 61, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away early on Monday, December 21, 2015, in her home. Mrs. Champion attended Bryan High School and had worked as a home health aide as well as an aide in the kitchen at DeKalb Memorial Hospital. A former member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, she attended Life Changing Realities Fellowship in Edgerton and enjoyed camping, spending time with her grandchildren, watching old movies, especially westerns, and collecting wind chimes, angels and Santa Clauses.

Betty Ann Champion was born on April 20, 1954, in New Albany, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Judith Ann (Gravitt) Thompson, Jr. She married David E. Champion, Sr. on January 26, 1974, in Montpelier, Ohio, and he survives.

Survivors also include two daughters, Catina Ann (Christopher) Hile and Billie Jo Downs, both of Defiance, Ohio; one son, David (Michelle) Champion, Jr., of Hicksville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Thompson III, in Kansas, and Michael Thompson, in Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, Jerry and Larry Thompson, one sister, Terri Thompson, and one brother, E. Paul Thompson.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Betty Ann Champion will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at 3:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 P.M., in the funeral home.

Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society.
