Betty Lou Lovejoy, age 89, of Wauseon, passed away Thursday February 20, 2014 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold. She was a life long Homemaker.
Mrs. Lovejoy was bon on January 7, 1925 in Napoleon, Ohio the daughter of the late Max and the late Ella (Mohr) Waite. On January 19, 1946 she married Jack M. Lovejoy and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1982. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time visiting with her family. Surviving are two sons; Robin (Stephanie) Lovejoy of West Unity, William Lovejoy of Pulaski, Ohio, daughter; Jacalyn “Babs” (LeRoy) Pfaff of Delta, 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother; Quentin (Ruth) Waite of Union City, Michigan. Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents was son Douglas Lovejoy, grandson Heath Lovejoy, brother, William Waite, and sister, Thelma Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday February 27, 2014 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with Pastor Donna Stutzman officiating. Interment will be in the Independence Cemetery near Defiance, Ohio. Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and on Thursday from 9:00am until service time. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Wauseon Fire and Rescue Department or the Fairlawn Haven Activity Fund.
