Robert “Bob” Edwin Sharpe, age 87, passed away early Sunday morning , November 3, 2013 at The Elizabeth Scott Community. He was born in Liberty Center, OH on April 11, 1926 to Dorsey Oliver and Carrie Catherine (Carver) Sharpe.
After graduating from Liberty Center High School, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1944 – 1946. He received an honorable discharge as a WWll in 1946 Prior to his retirement, he worked for 37 years at Dinner Bell Foods. Bob was an avid Ohio State football fan and Cleveland Browns fan. Everyone enjoyed his sense of humor and witness.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Wauseon VFW and the Robinson-Gibbs American Legion Post.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Geneva Rose (Yoder) Sharpe. He is survived by his children Beverly Sharpe, Connie Rush and James (Deborah) Sharpe; grandchildren Kristina (Kenneth) Pringle, Kurt (Rachel) Sharpe and Klint Sharpe; and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jarrett, Piper and McKenzy.
Friends may call at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 10:30am until 11:30am. Private funeral services will be held at 11:30am with Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby officiating. Interment will follow at Wauseon Union Cemetery.
