BPA Seat Update

The Bryan Board of Public Affairs meet in special session and approve the appointment of Derek Allen to fill the board’s open seat. The panel had five candidates who sought the post. Board members were impressed with the field of applicants and say it was a tough choice. Allen’s appointment was made following an executive session. All three members present approved it. The seat became open after board member Bob Eyre resigned last month. Allen is expected to be sworn before the next BPA meeting on the 19th.
