Break In Area Sex Case

An arrest is made in a two year old investigation, this in connection to an sexual assault that happened in Branch County. 23 year old, Adam Halsey of Portage turned himself in to officers. He was arraigned on two charges of sexual conduct in County Court. Investigators say the victim was 14 in June 2015 when she and Halsey had sex in Sherwood Township. The girl’s grandmother filed a complaint with the authorities. Halsey is due to have a probable cause hearing on October 31.
