Bruce W. Pifer, 72, of Quincy, Michigan passed away Tuesday evening at Acension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. For the last 2 ½ years he had lived at The Laurels of Coldwater. Bruce was born on July 21, 1947 in Coldwater to Lester W. and Ina Lee (Laser) Pifer. He graduated from Coldwater High School. Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Linda Joyce Garrett and she survives. Bruce worked at Quality Springs / Togo and and Coldwater Schools.
In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by his children, Christa (Phillip) Wentz of Reading, Michigan, Autumn Pifer of Coldwater, Michigan, Rebecca (Ed) Moore of Coldwater, Jonathon Councell of Quincy, Michigan, Samanatha Pifer of Quincy and Madison Pifer of Quincy; two grandchildren, Amanda (Axel) Zaragoza and Hunter Wentz, and one great grandchild Alejandro Zaragoza; siblings Katherine Cox of Quincy and Wanda (David) Garrett of Osseo, Michigan.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and brother Douglas Russell.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
