Byrd Is Indicted

A Defiance County grand jury returns a two-count indictment against Nathaniel Byrd…for an assault last month that turned deadly. In a parking lot outside Defiance’s Amvets Post 1991, prosecutors say Byrd assaulted Johnny Jiminez….who died six days later from head injuries. Apparently, Byrd was in a fight with someone else…when Jimenez stepped in to try and stop it.
