The Ohio House voted last week to approve four additional calamity days for the state’s school districts because of this winter’s extreme weather, after many school districts across the state simply ran out of extra days.
This bill still awaits approval by the Senate.
If the Senate bill ends up significantly different from the House bill, it will be brought to a conference committee for a compromise bill, which would then need to be passed by both houses.
The entire effort is expected to take up to two weeks.
