Carol E. Beerbower, 94

Carol E. Beerbower went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 28, 2024.  She was 94.  She lived in various places in Ohio during her life with Bryan being her final home.  Carol was born Carol Eleanor Luse to William and Selma (Cunningham) Luse on August 7, 1929.  She grew up in Painesville, Ohio, along with her sister and two brothers.  After graduating from Harvey High School, she attended Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in Cleveland.  She graduated with a Registered Nursing Degree.  On July 10, 1954, she married Loring Beerbower.  They were married for 61 years.  He proceeded her in death on February 8, 2016.  Carol worked at Fairfield Community Hospital in Lancaster, Ohio, and prior to that she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio, and at various hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.

Carol had 3 children: Stephen (Stephanie) of Hicksville, David (Melissa) of Bryan, and Sharon of Bryan.  She had 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  She loved being a mom and a grandma.  Carol was a very talented seamstress.  She could sew anything but especially loved making fancy dresses for her granddaughters and dressing antique dolls.  She also enjoyed her flower garden, reading, working on genealogy, writing poetry, and being with her family.  She was always active in any church they attended wherever they made their home in Ohio.  She took charge of the nursery, was on the mission committee, and helped in Sunday school.  Most recently she was a member of the Bryan First Church of Christ.

Visitation for Carol E. Beerbower will be held Monday, August 5, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.  Funeral services for Carol will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.

In leu of flowers donations may be given to the Bryan First Church of Christ or to Woodburn Christian Children’s Home.
