Carol J. Stockman, 84

Carol J. Stockman, age 84, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 12:46 A.M. on Tuesday, May 6, 2020, at Fountain Park Inn and Villas, where she was a resident, after an extended illness. Mrs. Stockman was a 1953 graduate of Montpelier High School, where she was homecoming queen. Prior to starting her family, she had worked as a secretary at The Aro Corporation in Bryan. She was a devoted homemaker, was an active member St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, where she was also a member of Rosary Altar Society, and was a member of the Women of the Moose in Bryan. She enjoyed being around her family, volunteering at the church, playing solitaire and Sudoku, and her Bunco group.

Carol J. Stockman was born on December 21, 1935, in Marblehead, Ohio, the daughter of Emil and Margaret (Chura) Stecovich. She married George E. Stockman on August 20, 1955, in Bryan and he survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are their five children, Tim (Bev) Stockman, of Bluffton, Ohio, Tom (Mary) Stockman, of Bradenton, Florida, Toby Stockman, of Bryan, Ann (Kyle) Robinett, of Bryan, and Mike (Hulie) Stockman, of Bryan; seven grandchildren, Eric Stockman, Cody Robinett, Andrea Leichty, Callie Etzler, Kyra Robinett, Madison Stockman, and Negley Stockman; two great-grandchildren, Talon and Beckett Leichty; and two brothers, Robert (Linda) Stecovich, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Donald Stecovich, in North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Stecovich.

Due to the ongoing pandemic social gathering restrictions, a private family service will take place with interment to follow in Brown Cemetery near Bryan. A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.

Memorials are requested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
