Carol R. Peschel, 85, of Walbridge, OH passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2023 following a long illness. She was born on April 16, 1937 in Toledo, OH to Louis and Marie Cichy. Carol was a 1955 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Toledo. She married Paul A. Peschel on September 3, 1960 and raised her family in Walbridge. Carol and Paul were founding members of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she was involved with many parish activities and events.
Carol worked as a secretary for many years at the Society for the Propagation of the Faith (Catholic Missions) office in Toledo. She also worked in retail sales and was a USPS Postal Carrier for a short time. She was a wonderful mother and served as a long time caregiver to both her mother and husband before their passing.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Paul (2009), sister Mary Ann Michalski (2019), infant brother Ervin, and her parents. She is survived by her sons Joseph (Susan), John (Jeanne), and James; and daughter Mary (William) Peschel-Herlehy.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in the St. Jerome Catholic Church narthex in Walbridge from 9:30 am – 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am with Father Scott Woods officiating, private burial service following at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, Bryan, Ohio.
