Carol S. Disbro, age 81, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 2:35 A.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana, after a brief illness. Mrs. Disbro was a 1954 graduate of Edon High School and was devoted to the Disbro family farm until she retired. She was a member of Edon United Methodist Church and Angola Moose Lodge and was an avid knitter.
Carol S. Disbro was born on May 10, 1936, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Edwin M. and Geraldine (Allomong) Schieber. She married Gary Disbro on June 4, 1954, in Edon and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony and Terry Disbro, both of Edon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Peggy Disbro, of Edon. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy Disbro; and a sister, Yvonne Chapin.
Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Doug Widdowson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, Ohio.
